Aquarelles Commissions Lessons

Maya Korlas has taught aquarelle and drawing techniques to children aged 5 to12 years old since 2007. Sessions are held in groups of four or five children and cost £10.00 per session per child.

Children first make their drawings in pencil and then paint with water colours or gouache under Maya’s supervision. All are required to bring their own paper, brushes and paints.

Talented pupils are always welcome.

Just bring along your child’s art work for an initial free session. Please see Contact for details.

Themes for lessons

Each lesson is designed to have one theme, usually it is associated with literary images from children’s book, like Hans Christian Andresen’s ‘The Snow Queen’. Children are asked to illustrate a scene or draw a particular character from a book they have already read.

The Aquarelle Art Class group has also studied Greek and Egyptian art.
